THE DORSET HISTORIC CHURCHES RIDE & STRIDE - Saturday 11 September. If you haven't heard of this already it is a local fundraising project for Dorset historic churches which involves getting sponsorship, or making a small donation yourself, and cycling between local churches. Specially for the day all of the churches are open and are usually offering refreshments. It's a great way to get off the beaten track and see some of the beautiful countryside and buildings that surround us. There are various lengths of rides and walks which we aim to do between 9.30 am and 1.00 pm. We usually combine with St John's Church and the contact in our parish is John Rynne who can be contacted on 885760. A poster and further details are available on the notice board. |
