Papal Visit Catholic Internet Radio Station – 'Heart Gives Unto Heart' - broadcasting 7am-midnight, Tuesday 14 – Monday 20 September 2010. The radio station is part of a project to showcase the creative talent of young Catholics, and will broadcast live coverage by student reporters following the Pope on his historic visit. Parish Growth Retreat – Franciscan Retreat Centre, Pantasaph, North Wales, 21-23 Sept 2010. The retreat is for parish priests, coordinators, lay leaders and everyone who wants to actively build up the Church. Early booking essential, places limited. Confirmation 2011 – Are you in school year 9 or above? Think you might be ready to be confirmed in the Catholic faith? The Poole Parishes jointly run a vibrant, challenging programme based on the gifts of the Holy Spirit for young people like you. We guarantee you will discover a lot about yourself and also your relationship with God. All we ask is that you commit to attending a weekend retreat and ALL four Saturday sessions. So please make sure you keep these dates free in next year's diary. Bring a parent/carer along to our introductory meeting to find out more.
Sat 27 November 2010 – Introductory Meeting for candidates and families, 4.30pm at St Anthony's, followed by 5.30pm Mass;
Sun 9 Jan 2011 – after 5.30pm Mass at St Mary's – Welcome meal for candidates and catechists;
Fri-Sun 11-13 Feb – Retreat weekend, Awe & Wonder with RISE;

  13 Nov Training Days on Safeguarding Children – by the Catholic Children’s Society (Plymouth). There will be one day in Bournemouth on Sat 13 November, 10am-4pm. To complete the course, two evenings in Weymouth (26 May & 9 June) must also be attended. More details nearer the time

The Big Marriage Celebration 2010 in Plymouth Diocese – By personal invitation, couples celebrating 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th+ wedding anniversaries will gather at the cathedral in November to celebrate their commitment to marriage; to give thanks, renew their vows and pray for families and all marriages. World Youth Day Madrid August 2011 – the pilgrimage is open to young people aged 16-35. People of all faiths and none are welcome; also young people with special needs, and special provisions will be made. If you wish to take part, please collect a booking form from the office.
